Have I lost weight? How to? :(

Obviously that's not for human.
Ehem. let's not sidetrack.

It's been more than 2 weeks that I've been fasting.
So wonder if my weight is constant or if it goes down.
Is it rather hormonal that women generally do not lose weight so easily although we also do not gain weight easily?

I don't know.

This is excerpt I took from the ezinearticles.com
"Studies have proven that the difference between men and women are found in the functioning of woman's hormones and the construction and function of her fat cells. Hormones control how our metabolism functions, how fat is stored and so much more.
Because women have less muscle, then they have to work harder to lose fat. A man could be working at 50% of his capacity during physical activity, but a woman would have to be working at 70% of her capacity in order to keep up. So if women have less muscle, that means they have more fat cells. Women[ fat cells are also 5 times more larger than men. Women are programmed to store and hold more fat."

SAD RIGHT?

The thing is, I'd like to warn you not to trust everything on the net.
If it's up, it doesn't mean it's reliable, trust me.
When you search the internet, there are thousands of website popping up, telling you things to do to lose weight etc. Sometimes, they contradict each other O.o!!

Like, once I googled "yoghurt helped digestion". While one site states yes, the other said no.

It's the same with exercise and weight management. While one tells you they helped other site may tell you the opposite.

My advice is, have faith that exercise helps. Other than that, while running is so overrated, I think walking, in the long run is more beneficial. I have a friend who lost KGs of weight because she walked 5 km a day (although the result only shows up in like, half a year ~ hell yeah, i know it's long).
Changing your diet, has to come along. if not, it will all be wasted. :)
Minimise your munching on those delicious, juicy boneless meat of McSpicy (slurp XD), mind your diet, minimise intake of coke and sport drink and change to pure water (although I'm hypocritical about this *gulp*).. Plus, stop thinking that those "sugar-free/low-calorie/low-fat" food are so much better. If you compare carefully, they might not be so much different. It's all marketing gimmick. :). Better go and eat less of them and not eat lotsa them because u think they are going to make you full and slim.

Okay, that sums my post. Although I don't lose weight in general, I do eat less and less chips+unhealthy food ever since coming to Singapore. The result is, I feel a lot less guilty. Well, after all, you need a healthy state of mind to keep you happy!! :)

FASTING MONTH!!

:) yes, I'm fasting.

In my opinion, fasting is good for your health.

You don't overeat (unless you're the type that will gobble the whole earth during breakfast because you're over-conscious that you'll be starved the next day)

You eat minimal, just as much as what you need.

Sadly, though, I don't lose any weight when I'm fasting. *well, I guess that's just the way it is*

Today's breakfast : Oatmeal and Flame Grapes

A hearty meal to start the day :)
woke up early in the morning before heading to the library to finish up my homework.

Here's How I Prepare My breakfast
Weee...

Flame Grapes FTW!

Plus powdered milk...

Okay, not so yummy looking but I assure you of the quirky taste, somewhat refreshing.Surely will make you happy. My advice is, leave the grapes as it is (they are small and seedless!!) so that when you bite, the juice will surge into your mouth unlike when you cut them into small pieces.. :)

SO, would you take oatmeal in? :)

Xoxo,
Noppi

So I was thinking...

I am pretty concerned about constipation.
well yeah, guess this is not the best venue to talk about it but hey, it's my blog anyway.
I am concerned about my flabby stomach of course but not so much as I think, well, perhaps, I will shed it after the teenage year. BUT, I am concerned about the high chance of developing colon cancer as a result of defecation only once in 7 days. Yes, a week. Or other diseases.

I saw on Cheesie's (from cheeserland.com) advert post (long time ago) this kenko diet plum. It's damn expensive though. I do eat yoghurt but although I do believe it does help with digestion but it doesn't help with defecation (you know what I mean right. I mean although they are related they are not same). So I wanted the diet plum but after reading very few people talking about it and how it does help bowel movement but it causes some pain, I turn down the thought.

Now, I am considering slimming tea. Again, I warn you not to think that I want to lose weight. (well, 3 kgs would be nice to lose, but again I just want regular bowel movement). I remembered my grandma just had to go to the toilet when she mistook my aunt's slimming tea and I also read that it Does help with defecation.
So that should help?

I am considering SOD so-slim tea (cz it's on Dawn Yang's blog. Not because I like her but I just believe in brands that believes in bloggers because I'm a hardcore blogger, not on blogspot though, muhuahuahuhau).

So, what is your say about slimming tea? not a healthy option or solution to my problem?

Healthier Life Pledge

*this is not advertisement, btw. I want to convert this blog to a healthy blog kinda thing.. so that explains it*

I want to have a healthier lifestyle (believe it or not).
Well, I want to get more toned in the abs and generally healthier..

Why?

That is because, being in a healthy weight doesn't really mean you are completely safe from heart attack and other cholesterol-related diseases. Yes, that is true.

All the time, I feel safe because although I consume lots and lots and lots of junk food, ice creams, food with so much carbs and fats and sugar, I stay at the healthy weight which is 46 - 48 kg (and I am 157 so that makes my weight ideal). Fine, if u actually see me, you will think I am fat, that is my puppy fat accumulating at my face area and generally my heart-shaped face will cause you to think so. But believe me, with all the food indulgence, I do not really put on weight. (and sadly though, I have constipation, thus my fat stomach, I defecate less than 3x a week, FML).

BUT.
someone knowledgeable told me that, whether you're skinny or not doesn't determine your cholesterol level. Well, of course someone with more body fat percentage will have more risk but you know, it's just that I, too have become conscious about what I eat.

So, I ponder about my diet and figured out, I should do several things I listed below...

1. DRINK MORE WATER. hey, this is the easiest to forget. really. I am not even lying.

2. TO REPLACE RICE WITH OATMEAL FOR DINNER. "the soluble fiber in Quaker Oats can help lower cholesterol, which has obvious benefits for the heart" --> quoted from quaker oat's website

3. TO EAT MORE FRUITS. i might get more strawberries to make myself happy :)) I love strawberries and generally other sour fruits.

4. TO NEVER FORGET  TO DRINK MILK. have i told u something? my sister, 21 years old is told that one of her bone is in stage somewhat near to osteoporosis :!! scary, no. We have to get sufficient calcium. even if we're no longer in growing stage.

So, there you go my pledge. i had started all of them, of course, with no remarkable success in no. 1 and no. 3 (I am generally quite lazy)..

You are what you eat,
Stay yummylicious :)
